I make quite a few of my photographs spontaneously while just wandering around. I’m a firm believer that for all creatives, regardless of your discipline, the best thing you can do is get out into the world more. Go explore. Take the small, unknown side road. Walk the side streets and alleys, talk to random people, try new things, visit museums - especially the smaller ones. Seek out a random bench and sit for an hour to see who walks by. Eat in local diners, take in a play at the community theater, go to the county fair. Engage the world in as many ways as you can.
Right now engaging the world is harder, and we all need to do as much as possible to stay safe. So while engaging the world might be harder, it’s not impossible. Driving off the beaten path, you’ll find places like this. And yes, I’m still enamored with and tweaking this color grade, so you’ll probably see more of it for a while. lol.
