The Kiss

This is another older state fair shot. It was a marionette show, and the audience was sitting on the ground in front of the stage. Toward the end, one of the puppeteers started walking into the crowd with Pinocchio and interacting with the audience. I was hoping for some good reaction-type moments, so I framed the puppet in the frame and followed along. This kid didn’t seem interested at all, but at the last second decided to go in for the kiss, and I had my shot. When the show ended the family exited the other direction and I lost them in the crowd, never able to share the image with them. Always been among my favorites.
