I thought this end-of-the-trail image was appropriate for my last post of the year. I took this on a very foggy fall morning on the Santa Monica Pier. How often at the beach in bright colorful California, will you find a crowd wearing so much black and gray. It seems like a fitting mood for what has been a rough couple of years for many.
Now we’re starting a new year. A year full of promise, and hope, and joy. There will undoubtably be tough times for many, but that’s not what we should look forward to. This should be the year we all go after our dreams. Go after what makes you happy. If you’re not sure, then find what brings you joy. Do the big things, take on the seemingly impossible tasks. Let nothing hold you back. Explore the world, even if it’s just a small part nearby. Take the time to stop and smell the proverbial flowers. Talk to people. Learn new things, take some risks, and always try to improve. Tell those close that you love them, and while you’re at it - try to love many more. There can never be too much love in the world.
So in the next year, this increasingly decrepit photographer/filmmaker will try to make interesting work that I hope a few will enjoy. I love you all, - Happy New Year!!
