Another shot from MO Rt. 66 at Gary's Gay Parita, just west of Springfield. Great place to stop and visit. I've been working on b/w conversions that are replicable across a series of different images. Using old film stocks and grain scans as a basis for the conversion, then some mild curves adjustments in Photoshop. At the moment, this is one of my favorite looks. Next step is to see how much adjustment I have to do when trying it out on different images to get the same final look. Being able to tie together a series of images taken in different times and/or locations is such a crucial, yet often overlooked, part of the storytelling process. Next up - I think I have an idea based on Polaroid 690 film - for that vintage 70's look.
