The sun burning through the late morning fog rising off Lake Taneycomo, near downtown Branson Missouri.
I spent the morning hoping for a vibrant colored sunrise but Mother Nature wasn’t cooperating. As the light was getting harsher, the fog and mist kept any color in the scene kind of flat. So I started thinking about a black-and-white image.
Wandered around a bit, but didn’t really see anything that grabbed me. So I did what any self-respecting photographer would do. I sat down on a bench and have my morning granola bar breakfast and let the scene come to me.
About 10 minutes later, this man walked out onto the dock and began to fish. I know sometimes I pontificate about how much work goes into being at the right place at the right time to make a photograph. I’ll admit that this time, I didn’t even get off the bench. I did slide over about a foot though. Lol. This ended up being the only shot I took all morning that I processed. I like it, except for one little tangent that is driving me crazy. :-)
