Another from the archives: JazzFest 2014. Christina Aguilera and John Fogerty. I was asked to make two close up promotional images and process them in the torn-up destroyed photo style that was becoming all the rage at the time, and I they had to be performance shots. I was standing on the side of the stage, and could only briefly walk out a little bit, because you don't want to block the crowd, so getting a good angle up close can be tricky. The upside is that with the processing style, I didn't have to worry about the lighting so much. Use a lot of dust, scratches and texture overlays in addition to the color work. One of the secret tricks - an overlay of a piece of saran wrap I scanned. Who knew destroying an image could be so much work. lol.
